St. Joseph Catholic Church has stood as a Tower of Faith for the Catholic community of Cincinnati, Ohio’s West End since 1846. Throughout its history and amid many transformational changes within its boundaries, the parish has remained resilient, adaptive, and a guidepost for the community it serves.
St. Joseph Catholic Church’s mission centers on a simple yet profound verse from the New Testament: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
St. Joseph remains the last standing Catholic Church in the West End from where its congregation, comprised of many Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky suburbs, worships in fellowship and offers spiritual and material outreach to those in need.
Where is the Holy Spirit Leading Us? As part of Synod 2027, Archbishop Casey invites each of us to participate in a Conversations in the Spirit listening session. Participants will join others across our archdiocese in prayerfully considering what the Holy Spirit is asking of our Church at this time, thereby assisting Archbishop Casey as he establishes pastoral priorities for the future.
